Pentland Named Director of New Center

Design Futures Council Senior Fellow Alexander (Sandy) Pentland of MIT Media Lab has been named the director for the new Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT. The $50 million fellowship program is aimed at creating a new class of business leaders from the developing world. The program provides financial support to aspiring entrepreneurs from developing nations to spend two years studying at MIT. The program hopes to produce 30 for profit companies a year for the next 10 years. For more information go to the web at http://www.mit.org.
